Reader’s Theater Plus Presents ‘A Christmas Carol’ In
Two Very Different Plays
OTA is very excited to announce a collaborative holiday
event with the Reader’s Theatre Plus group to benefit
the OTA building fund.
RT+ will be presenting readings of two very
different versions of Charles Dickens’
A Christmas Carol.
The performances will be held at the Olympic
Theatre Arts Center. The
first is a classic version with narration by Charles
Dickens. The
narration is taken from notes written by Dickens while
writing “A Christmas Carol’ and adds a new dimension to
the story.
This version will be presented on December
18 at 7:00 pm and December 19, 20 at 2:00 pm.
In the second play we fast forward to the present day.
We meet Ebenezer V. He owns and operates The
Happy Humbug Gift Shoppe, which he inherited from
his Great, Great Grandfather, Ebenezer I. He has also
inherited Ebenezer's priorities, fears and GHOSTS!!!
(The more things change, the more they remain the same.)
See how these Ghosts appear in today's world and
transform a whole new generation.
This version will be presented on December
19, 20, 21 all at 7:00 pm.
Christmas cookies and carols will round out each
performance.
Tickets ($10) are available here online
or by calling the OTA office at 360-683-7326.
